This five-day group-joining safari is one of the most varied budget routes in the collection because it combines classic game viewing with a more active Rift Valley finish. Two nights in the Maasai Mara provide the main big-game safari experience, followed by Lake Nakuru for rhino and birding interest. The route then continues to Naivasha, where the programme can include a Lake Nakuru morning game drive, optional lake activities and a final Hell’s Gate cycling experience before returning to Nairobi. Accommodation is spread between Miti Mingi Eco Camp, Buraha Zenoni Hotel & Resort and Leisure Apex Resort. Optional Maasai village visits and Lake Naivasha boat/walking experiences remain outside the base inclusions unless specifically confirmed.

Maasai Mara Miti Mingi Eco Camp Lunch & Dinner

Leave Nairobi with the joining group and travel toward the Maasai Mara, stopping at a Great Rift Valley viewpoint before continuing through Narok. Arrive at Miti Mingi Eco Camp for check-in and lunch. The source programme uses the first afternoon as a lighter arrival period, which helps the group recover from the road journey before the full safari day. Dinner and overnight are at Miti Mingi Eco Camp.

Hot Air Balloon Safari Early morning / approximately 3–4 hours

A sunrise balloon flight over the greater Maasai Mara landscape, normally followed by a landing experience and breakfast arrangement depending on the operator. It is sold separately from normal game drives and must be pre-booked.

Maasai Cultural Village Visit 1–2 hours

A hosted cultural visit introducing Maasai homestead life, traditions and community stories. The visit should be arranged through an appropriate local host and presented as an optional cultural experience rather than part of the game-drive description.

Maasai Mara Miti Mingi Eco Camp Full Board

After breakfast, leave camp with a packed lunch for a full day in the Maasai Mara. The group explores the reserve’s grasslands and riverine areas, following the driver-guide’s assessment of current wildlife movement. Time is allocated to major wildlife sightings as well as general plains game, birds and landscape photography. The reference route includes a picnic-lunch stop around the Mara River area before the afternoon game drive continues. Return to Miti Mingi Eco Camp for dinner and overnight.

Nakuru Buraha Zenoni Hotel Resort Full Board

After breakfast, guests may take an optional Maasai village visit before the group checks out. Continue by road toward Nakuru, with lunch arranged during the journey. Arrival is followed by check-in and a quieter afternoon at Buraha Zenoni Hotel & Resort, allowing the group to rest before the next morning’s national-park game drive. Dinner and overnight are at the hotel.

Naivasha Leisure Apex Resort Full Board

Begin the day with a Lake Nakuru National Park game drive, spending several hours exploring the park before continuing to Naivasha. After arrival and lunch, guests can choose an optional Lake Naivasha boat ride or walking experience if time and operating conditions allow. These additions are not automatically included in the base price and should be booked separately. The day ends at Leisure Apex Resort for dinner and overnight.

Naivasha Breakfast

After an early breakfast, depart for Hell’s Gate National Park. The reference programme includes cycling in the park before the group begins the return drive to Nairobi. The exact cycling route and any additional walking component must follow current park access and safety conditions. After the activity, continue to Nairobi for drop-off at the confirmed hotel or airport point. Only breakfast is included under the reference final-day meal plan.

A cycling excursion in Hell’s Gate National Park on routes open to bicycles, normally combined with park scenery and selected viewpoints. Bicycle hire and current access conditions should be confirmed.
