Depart Nairobi in your private safari vehicle and travel through the Great Rift Valley toward Maasai Mara. Check in at the selected lodge or tented camp and, if timing permits, take an afternoon game drive to introduce the open savannah and resident wildlife. Return for dinner and overnight.
11-Day Kenya Classic Safari & Diani Beach Private Holiday
Big Five safari country followed by three nights of white-sand Indian Ocean relaxation.
Private Kenya safaris designed for international and non-resident travellers.
This eleven-day private itinerary is designed for international travellers who want a substantial Kenya safari without giving up a genuine beach finish. The first seven nights move through Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli and Tsavo West, creating a sequence of savannah, Rift Valley, elephant and volcanic landscapes. The final three nights are in Diani, where the pace changes completely and the guest can choose between simple beach time and optional marine or adventure experiences such as Kisite–Mpunguti/Wasini, snorkelling, kitesurfing, conservation visits or sunset dhow trips. Current eleven-day Kenya private-tour inventory frequently combines Mara, Rift Valley, Amboseli, Tsavo and the coast, making this a strong long-tail product for searches around 'Kenya safari and Diani beach holiday'. Accommodation, internal transfer method from Tsavo to the coast and the final airport plan are confirmed at quotation stage.
Spend a full day exploring Maasai Mara with your private driver-guide. Follow wildlife movement across plains and riverine habitats, allowing time for predators, elephants, plains game, birds and photography. Optional ballooning, cultural visits, walking where permitted or sundowners can be added separately.
A sunrise balloon flight over the greater Maasai Mara landscape, normally followed by a landing experience and breakfast arrangement depending on the operator. It is sold separately from normal game drives and must be pre-booked.
Available upon request
A hosted cultural visit introducing Maasai homestead life, traditions and community stories. The visit should be arranged through an appropriate local host and presented as an optional cultural experience rather than part of the game-drive description.
Available upon request
A late-afternoon scenic stop arranged in an approved location with refreshments as the light softens over the Mara landscape. It can be used for couples, private groups or special-occasion itineraries.
Available upon requestLeave Maasai Mara after breakfast and drive to Nakuru. Enter Lake Nakuru National Park for an afternoon game drive where timing permits. Focus on rhinos, birds, woodland wildlife and lake scenery before transferring to the selected Nakuru accommodation for dinner.
Begin with a final Lake Nakuru wildlife drive if required, then continue to Lake Naivasha. Check in and use the afternoon for relaxation or add a boat ride, Crescent Island walk or birding session. Activities remain optional so the guest can choose between active and relaxed pacing.
A guided boat excursion on Lake Naivasha for lake scenery, birdlife and wildlife observation from the water. Operating time and route depend on weather and water conditions.
Available upon requestA guided or hosted walking experience on Crescent Island, allowing guests to explore open landscapes and view wildlife on foot under the site’s operating rules.
Available upon requestTravel from Naivasha toward southern Kenya and Amboseli. The road day is balanced with suitable comfort stops. Arrive at the selected camp/lodge and take a late-afternoon game drive if timing permits, looking for elephants and other wildlife across the plains and wetlands.
Dedicate the day to Amboseli National Park. Explore wetland and plains habitats, visit Observation Hill where practical, and watch for possible Mount Kilimanjaro views. Optional cultural, birding, photography and sundowner activities can be selected separately.
A community-hosted Maasai cultural experience in the wider Amboseli area, arranged separately from park game drives and subject to the selected community programme.
Available upon requestA guided stop at Observation Hill for elevated views across Amboseli’s plains and wetlands. It works well as part of a park day while remaining a clearly identified experience point.
Available upon requestA sunset refreshment experience arranged by the selected lodge or camp in an approved scenic location outside restricted park rules where necessary.
Available upon requestLeave Amboseli and travel to Tsavo West National Park. The scenery changes toward lava flows, wooded hills and spring-fed habitats. Visit Mzima Springs if routing and current conditions allow, then continue with a private game drive before dinner and overnight at the selected Tsavo West lodge or camp.
A scenic stop at Mzima Springs in Tsavo West, added to the correct park day rather than treated as a generic Tsavo activity.
Available upon requestA geological and landscape stop in the Tsavo West area, combined with the day’s routing when access and timing allow.
Available upon requestTake a final early Tsavo West game drive before leaving the park and continuing toward Kenya’s south coast. Arrive in Diani and check into the selected resort or hotel. The afternoon is intentionally free for beach time, swimming or rest after the safari circuit.
Enjoy a full beach day. Keep it completely relaxed or add a marine experience such as Kisite–Mpunguti/Wasini, snorkelling or a local reef excursion. Because sea conditions and operator schedules matter, all marine activities are quoted separately and reconfirmed close to travel.
A full-day south-coast marine excursion combining boat travel toward the Kisite–Mpunguti area with snorkelling or marine viewing and a Wasini-area stop, depending on the operator programme.
Available upon requestA locally arranged snorkelling session or boat-assisted reef outing from the Diani area, subject to sea state and operator conditions.
Available upon requestUse the second full coast day according to your interests. Options can include kitesurfing, skydiving, Colobus Conservation, snorkelling or a sunset dhow. Couples may prefer a slow beach day and evening experience, while families can choose lighter activities. Courtesywide confirms each supplier before inclusion.
A tandem or operator-led skydiving experience over the Diani coast. Weather, participant restrictions, weight limits and operator availability must be confirmed before quotation.
Available upon requestA beginner lesson or guided kitesurfing session on the Diani coast, arranged according to wind conditions, participant ability and instructor availability.
Available upon requestA relaxed late-afternoon dhow sailing experience for couples, families or small groups, with route and refreshments varying by operator.
Available upon requestA conservation and education visit focused on the threatened Angolan colobus and coastal habitat protection in the Diani area.
Available upon requestEnjoy breakfast and the final hours at the coast according to flight timing. Transfer to the confirmed departure airport or onward hotel. If your international flight leaves Nairobi, Courtesywide can add the appropriate domestic flight and Nairobi connection in the final quotation.
